Project Background
A semiconductor material manufacturer from Germany faced a problem: quartz tube from their old supplier generated bubbles under high temperature, contaminating silicon wafers and reducing the yield of annealing process. They needed ultra-low-OH high-purity quartz carriers with strict standards on hydroxyl value, dimensional tolerance and heat resistance, which could run stably under 1100℃ vacuum environment long-term.
Our Solution
1. Adopt fused silica with vacuum dehydroxylation treatment, hydroxyl content controlled under 10ppm, with spectral purity test certificate attached for each batch.
2. One-piece CNC polishing processing, dimensional tolerance ±0.02mm, burr-free edges to prevent wafer scratch.
3. Custom thick-wall structure to enhance thermal shock resistance, no crack after repeated rapid heating & cooling.
Cooperation Result
The first trial order of 500 pcs passed all tests. We signed an annual framework contract with monthly stable order of 3000 quartz boats. The customer’s wafer yield increased by 12%. They also purchased matched quartz flanges and carrier tubes later, with annual sales volume reaching 180,000 USD.
